Here I am, again writing a review 2 months after my first visit! Coworkers took me here for lunch in the last week of July, and I have to say that this place was AWESOME! It's good 'old, belly satisfying diner food. To describe its look and feel, I'd say it looks like a smaller "non-chained" version of Cracker Barrel, a really "homey" feeling. Our waitress was polite yet witty, quick and efficient. I had a cup of corn chowder which was sweet and savory, and a grilled cheese with tomato & bacon. Simple, quick & tasty... 'nuff said. Came back that Saturday morning with the family for breakfast; NOTE..."side of bacon" = lots of pig! Really good eats. Also be aware; we attempted two Sundays ago to come for brunch/lunch around 11:30, bad idea, place was packed with a LONG wait.

Salty fries, huge burgers, milkshake tastes like freezer and friendly service. Those things Pop in my mind. The daily specials are the same prices as regular. The food will put you in a sleep coma, I slept for a few hours after. Not wowed by my burger.. Just ok ;)

I remember coming here when I was young and carefree. Don't we all wish we could do that again? ;) I miss having breakfast here. I stopped in for lunch today and it was just as good as I remembered. The country decor has remained the same and the hostess was very friendly. The BBQ pork sandwich with French fries and mixed veggies I got was fulfilling. My son loved the grilled cheese sandwich and chips. The service was disappointing though. It took a while for us to get our food and our waitress seemed like she was more concerned with the table across from us. I get it, but don't treat us like we're second place because your friends are first. When I go back, I hope the service isn't as disappointing as it was today.

My weekly spot for breakfast before work. The wait staff is both friendly and professional and always prompt. The menu is extensive and the specials are always great. Excellent prices and fantastically simple but delicious food for breakfast and lunch. Can't go wrong with the classics at the Gun Club Cafe.

I've been to this restaurant so much through out the years, the only thing that has changed is some of the staff. The food is still amazing. The waitresses are still quick, efficient but also friendly. I love this place hands down.

Well the Gun Club Cafe has been around for as long as I can remember. It's cozy and has a country like atmosphere.... very cool! The people here make you feel like family,. There are very few places that care about their customers the way they do. After they get to know you, all you have to do is show up, by the time you get to your table your drinks are at already served without even asking. That to me says a lot about a business..... As for the food it is some down home cooking, flavorful and good. If you love burgers they have some of the best! Go try it and enjoy the wonderful hospitality and flavor of the south..... :-)

After hearing from multiple friends how great the Gun Club Cafe is I finally got a chance this past weekend to try it out with my husband. Solid 4 stars for sure! I have a feeling this is our new breakfast spot and although it's a bit of a drive for us it's totally worth it. The restaurant has a down home country feel with random antique decor and although all the wooden booths are the same the tables have a mix and match feel. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and shown to our booth. Looking around we knew instantly most folks were locals who visit frequently since everyone knew everyone's name. I really like that! Our waitress was so friendly and patient, it must have taken me 10-15 minutes to order since there were so many yummy choices! I went with the Country Mornin and a pancake on the side. Hello I'm in LOVE! They bring you out your biscuits and sausage gravy as an appetizer! Although mine was a half order it was the same size as my husbands? Peppery, meaty biscuity goodness. I was licking the bowl clean! My eggs came out perfectly over easy, home fries were golden brown with crunchy skin and I chose bacon as my meat and to my shock you got 4 pieces in the Country Mornin! Pancake was ok..... I had not had one in forever and was craving pancakes like crazy. I'm glad I didn't go with one of the pancake breakfasts and just a side since it was a bit dry. My husband was just as as happy as me with his order. He got The Rocking Chair and the sausage it comes with is HUGE! We had heard the hash brown casserole was a must order and with his breakfast it was a side. Neither of us liked it but with so many other fantastic things to choose from it wasn't even an issue. By the time we were leaving at about 10:30am the place was getting packed. I'm glad we went early and didn't have to wait. I could tell it's the place to be on a Sunday mornings. On Mondays everything on the menu is $6.00!!! We are definitely going back to check out the lunch menu soon and for $6.00 how can you go wrong? I'm so glad we found the Gun Club Cafe!

We enjoyed the Gun Club Cafe enormously. Great service and food. Biscuits and Gravy was awesome. Bathrooms clean. Home made breakfast, country style. Prices were great. Ashley was our waitress and she was superb. Just left The Breakers and on our way to Key West. The Gun Club Cafe remains a highlight of this awesome trip! Mark

The best country breakfast in west palm beach. Biscuits and gravy are top notch. The hash brown casserole is delightful. The staff is friendly and service is quick and the prices are fair. Ever time I go here I always leave feeling satisfied. If they served mimosas we would go more often.

We came on a Monday, when everything on the menu is $6 or less. Ridiculous. We got the brown sugar and banana french toast, which was literally the best french toast I have ever, ever, ever had in my life. Our other meal (Patch Quilt something?) was standard breakfast fare done as well as you would expect. Fast, friendly service and antique-y decor that is kitschy and fun. Awesome place!

I went to Gun Club Cafe with some friends who discovered the restaurant by recommendation. We have a ritual of having breakfast on Sundays, and I was excited to try a new place in West Palm Beach. Now, what you should expect from this place is a menu that pays homage to the savory rather than the sweet, though apparently the deserts are good too. I ordered the biscuits and gravy, which was satisfying but did not exactly look appetizing. If I had only seen the biscuits, I would have been impressed, but the gravy looked like a gray gruel ladled over the real star of the show. Luckily, I ordered a side of bacon cooked nice and crispy just as I like it. Some pluses for the place are that people were friendly and our server was attentive. I will also say that the coffee was flavorful and it was served at an ideal temperature: I did not have to wait for it to cool before I drank it, but it was still hot. Overall, a good experience, but there are better places to get food if you are interested in a more sophisticated breakfast.

Have to boost the star rating for gun club cafe! My wife and I have been here about 7-8 times, usually ordering breakfast. The smoked pork chop is where it's at! Plus the hash brown casserole and grits! Real deal locals only type of diner! You will definitely need a nap after a big breakfast here-

The omelets are great every time we go. I love spinach in my omelet and they did it right. If you like your hash browns well done, that seems to be a challenge for them. I sent mine back and got the home fries instead because well done arrived as pan scrapings. And the waitress said they would come out the same if she got me another hash brown order. But she brought the home fries very quickly with a good attitude and they were decent.

We recently met up with friends for breakfast at the Gun Club Café and the service and food were outstanding. It was our first time there, so our friends guided us through the menu options -- it is a rather extensive menu, so there is definitely something for everyone. We all ordered different breakfast entrees and every single plate was practically licked clean by the end of the meal. We especially recommend the shredded chicken fajita omelet and the multigrain pancakes. Amber was our waitress. Not only was she attentive, kind, and very engaging, but she regularly checked in on us to make sure that beverages were replenished, that we had enough condiments, and that our experience was going well. We will definitely return to the Gun Club Café the next time we are in town.

I am a Navy veteran who used to be a Culinary Specialist from '04-'06 "Operation Iraqi Enduring Freedom" era... I grew-up in West Palm Beach and this restaurant has surely survived the test of time. They serve delicious "country-cookin'" and they serve you with respect and hospitality. Beverly is awesome and she truly cares about her customers. Hospitality is my life and I can recognize and appreciate a good business when I see one, and Gun Club Cafe' is definitely running on all 12-cylinders... if you come early, you have the option to choose from their reduced price breakfast menu (6a.m.-10:30a.m.) don't be late!!! I always order a Belgian Waffle, 2 eggs, potatoes and grits with butter. When I leave, I usually have to let out my belt another notch because I always clean my plate. Check them out, you won't regret it!!!

How this relic has survived so long amazes me. It's disgusting inside. The food is horrible. Less then diner food. Feels like a truck stop in the middle of no where.

My unit comes here every reserve weekend. Classic diner food that no one can really mess up.

Eat here every Saturday for breakfast; could pass for a cafe in the middle of nowhere Georgia as the theme is rustic/blue collar southern decor. That being said, the atmosphere is (in my opinion) reminiscent of a southern diner located in S. FL. The service here is bad, but the food is okay. It's a great tradition some friends and I have every week. I will continue to go every week. Check it out!
